Opening this document will run the following SQL Command :
After applying around 12 Post SP3 security patches for Microsoft Word 2002 we started to get the following message on Microsoft Word launch.
"Opening this document will run the following SQL command"
Data from your database will be placed in the document. Do you want to continue?
We do run some custom corporate templates and can so far only assume that these are making a database connection. I have asked our office support team to look at this.
As a workaround the I added the following registry keys to users at logon, and this prevents the prompt and allows the SQL query to run.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Options
SQLSecurityCheck REG_DWORD
Value : 0
