Anonymous user Limit - Maximum anon Users

By default on a Citrix XenApp server the maximum number of anonymous users that can be connected to a single server is 99. This number is also the same limit that apply's to the default load evaluator for a Citrix Farm.

In these times of 64 Bit servers and greater user numbers per server we will need to amend these limits.

Load Evaluator
The load evaulator can be changed to a custom evaluator to remove the load evaluator limit. Its always best practice to copy an existing evaluator so as not to overwrite the standard ones.

Anonymous Users
Be default Citrix installation creates 15 anon user accounts. Additional Anon account will be created as required up the maximum contained in the key mentioned below.

In order to increase this limit change the following registry value.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control \Citrix\ Value: MaxAnonymousUsers

Session Reliability User Limit
By default session reliabiltiy only allows 150 connections so again this setting should be reviewed in large scale 64 bit server environments. The Limit can be overriden with the following registry key.

HKLM\Software\Citrix\XTEConfig

Add a MaxThreads REG_DWORD with the required value.
